The technology

How it works.

The different incoming streams, source-separated organics and multi-material, and residual municipal waste, are unloaded through dedicated doors and kept separate; hydraulic grab cranes load them onto the treatment lines. The lines are designed to be interchangeable and adapt over time as the fraction mix changes, typically with residual waste decreasing in favour of organics and dry recyclables, with no design changes to the plant. Bag opening and dimensional, aeraulic, electromagnetic and optical separation automatically recover PET, HDPE, Tetra Pak, paper and cardboard, PP-PS, iron, aluminium and glass. Shredding and refining, including optical PVC separation, concentrate the high-calorific material into Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF). The highly biodegradable organic fraction undergoes biological oxidation in the Biomax-G® system, producing Stabilised Organic Fraction (SOM) and quality compost.

Process

The process phases.

01

Reception in separate streams

Source-separated organics and multi-material, and residual municipal waste, are unloaded through dedicated doors and stored separately, preserving the quality of each fraction.

02

Loading with grab cranes

Articulated hydraulic grab cranes pick up the fractions from the reception pits and feed the treatment lines according to the processing schedule.

03

Multi-stage automatic sorting

Bag opening and dimensional, aeraulic, electromagnetic and optical separation automatically recover recyclable materials: PET, HDPE, Tetra Pak, paper and cardboard, PP-PS, iron, aluminium and glass.

04

Refining and SRF production

Shredding and refining, with optical PVC separation, concentrate the high-calorific material into a Solid Recovered Fuel suited to cement plants and other thermal uses.

05

Biomax-G® biological treatment

The biodegradable organic fraction goes to biological oxidation in Biomax-G® reactors, producing Stabilised Organic Fraction and quality compost.

Technical advantages

Why choose Ecoparco TMB.

One centre, several streams

Mechanical-biological treatment, optical sorting and composting in the same plant, jointly processing waste generated at household level.

Interchangeable lines

The lines adapt over time as incoming fractions change, with no design changes to the plant.

Material and energy recovery

Automatic recovery of dry recyclables, production of high-calorific SRF and quality compost from the organic fraction.

The Group's own technology

A plant designed, built and operated by SORAIN with proprietary technologies and machinery, from mechanical treatment to Biomax-G® biological oxidation: trommels, bag splitters, aeraulic separators.

Adapts to source separation

Highly flexible operation, tracking how collection schemes evolve and the pace at which residents adapt to them.

Optimised operating costs

Integrating treatments in a single centre reduces handling, intermediate storage and overall operating costs.
