The project

Two twin plants for the mechanical-biological treatment of municipal solid waste and source-separated collection in the county of Lancashire. Each plant has a capacity of 550 tonnes per day of MSW and 200 tonnes per day of source-separated organic waste, and consists of a pretreatment line, a biological treatment line, refining and air treatment with an organic biofilter. The Lancashire plants helped consolidate SORAIN's international reputation as a leader in industrial-scale MBT technology.
