Ecoparc 4 - Barcelona

The project

Ecoparc 4 in Barcelona is one of SORAIN TECHNO's most significant references in the Iberian region, designed and built for CESPA (Ferrovial Group) for the Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona. The plant processes 970 tonnes per day, 300,000 tonnes/year, of municipal solid waste. Biomax-G® technology manages the maturation of the organic fraction in automatically controlled, covered reactor bays, ensuring production of quality compost compliant with European regulations. The plant was designed for compactness and operational flexibility to adapt to regulatory developments on OFMSW management in Catalonia.
