El Campello - Alicante

The project

Mechanical-biological treatment plant for municipal solid waste and green-waste composting, built for FCC Medioambiente in El Campello, Alicante. The MSW line has a capacity of 600 tonnes per day, equal to 180,000 tonnes/year; the green-waste composting line treats 70 tonnes per day, equal to 20,000 tonnes/year. The two automated Biomax-G® biological treatment lines were installed inside existing buildings that previously housed static composting lines, replacing the treatment with a fully electric system.
