Oris - Osona i Ripollès

The project

Mechanical-biological treatment plant for municipal solid waste and green-waste composting, built for CTR Osona UTE, CESPA, Ferrovial Group, in the Osona i Ripollès comarca, Catalonia. The MSW line has a capacity of 145 tonnes per day, equal to 43,000 tonnes/year; the green-waste line treats 35 tonnes per day, equal to 13,000 tonnes/year. The first biological system to allow treatment of different biological fractions in the same reactor, the plant is completed by dedicated refining lines for quality compost and sorting lines for recovering recyclable materials; air treatment is carried out with a combined scrubber plus biofilter system.
