The project
Mechanical-biological treatment plant for municipal solid waste, built for UTE CTR Valladolid, a temporary business consortium between FCC Medioambiente and Zarzuela S.A. Commissioned in a first phase in 2021-2022 with a capacity of 250 tonnes per day, equal to 75,000 tonnes/year, the plant was expanded to reach a capacity of 500 tonnes per day in 2024, equal to 150,000 tonnes/year. The system combines a mechanical treatment line for the separation of recoverable fractions with biological treatment in Biomax-G® reactors. SORAIN TECHNO supplied the process technology, detailed design, machinery and SCADA software for the automated management of the entire treatment cycle.
